A Dungeon Story is a Role Playing Game is aimed at younger players as well as new or inexperienced dungeon masters.
There are many role play gaming resources, however I felt that most of the kid-friendly materials didn't have detailed campaign with detailed chapters detailing how to run the game and the different events specific to that specific session. It is difficult enough to introduce young kids how to play a role playing game, much less at the same time, learn how to be a dungeon master.
To lower the entry point and to encourage more people to play role playing games, A Dungeon Story was created to fill this gap.
A Dungeon Story aims to:
Be accessible to all. The free version of the game is always free. If you are interested in the differences between the free and deluxe please view here.
To provide assistance to the dungeon master. All essential materials to assist the dungeon master to allow a busy individual / parent is provided in the free edition A dungeon master would simply pick up the manual, give it a quick read and then run a game with kids.
All A Dungeon Story quests are campaigns. To ensure depth and enable an atmosphere for kids and adults to imagine, all A Dungeon Story quests are campaigns. I firmly believe that kids should be allowed and encouraged to experiment and imagine -- this means that there must be enough content for them to play around with to feed young minds.
Age Recommendation: 6.5+ | Chapter Length: 1.5 hour to 1 hours | Campaign Length: 7 Chapters (Total Hours: 13.5 - 18 hours)
You have heard tales of adventurers going out and finding these special eggs called “squishy eggs”. Unlike store bought chicken eggs, these eggs had a soft texture and feel to them -- almost like a sponge or a marshmallow.
When tossed, they bounce and roll like big cotton balls. The tales of these eggs tell of magical powers which come from them -- whether the magic came from consuming the eggs or what hatched out was not known.
